We are currently looking for a Junior Web Designer / Web Developer from a commercial background of front-end website development with XHTML, CSS Javascript PHP, MySQL, Drupal Wordpress. The ideal Junior Web Designer / Web Developer should have a minimum of 1 years experience in a commercial environment coupled with a passion for front-end development and an interest and knowledge of emerging technologies. Working within a small development team you will initially be responsible for delivering day to day support to the clients, with scope to increase your role as your experience grows. The core of the role is front-end work, and integrating this with various back-end systems in addition to the maintainenance of a number of sites in different CMS's and in static XHTML/CSS/JavaScript. Key Responsibilities will be web design and implementation working with Senior Creatives and back-end developers you will help to deliver fully-functioning websites, including working with existing CMS and templates where required. You will need a good creative eye and offer input on design and delivery methods, as well as attention to detail in both the design and coding of sites to ensure clients' deadlines are met. Additionally you will be involved in organising hosting requirements and uploading websites accurately and on time. Technical Skills: XHTML & CSS, ideally with a strong knowledge of Javascript and Flash. Experience with jQuery, AJAX, PHP, SQL and XML Good working knowledge of creating templates and themes for content management systems Experience of working to current W3C standards Personal Skills: Attention to detail Strong design critique and ability Passion for front-end design and development Interest and knowledge of emerging technologies £20k - £30k per annum
