The role is to assess the conformance of new or modified rail vehicles and associated equipment with regulations and standards, assess risks posed to Network Rail Infrastructure and to carry out technical investigations. VCT are looking for an experienced engineer to join the specialist team engaged in NoBo and VAB services for internal and external clients. The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas acting as a Conformance signatory within a VAB, and / or an assessor within a NoBo. In addition, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate competence in at least one of the following specialisms: vehicle dynamics, braking systems, structures, hydraulics or electrical systems or have been involved with On-Track Machines and / or locomotives and have a detailed knowledge of the RIR and ROGS regulations or have other relevant experience.
